Dante Farrow
District 4 - Male - 18 Years Old
- - - - - - - - - - - Appearance
Dante keeps his straight, black hair cut fairly short.
Eyes:
Dante's eyes are a dark brown and are not easy to read.
Fashion:
Although Dante is from a higher District, he does not strive to have the most fashionable outfits. He prefers comfortable clothes over "fashionable" clothes.
Overall:
Dante stands at an average height of six feet exactly. Both his eyes and hair are dark while his skin is lightly tanned after being exposed to the sunny District Four climate all his life. Dante is normally clean shaven, but everyone once in a while, he will let a bit of stubble grow. Dante's smile can light up a room, but when he is angry or upset, this smile can quickly disappear and be replaced by a cold glare. His nose is slightly too big, a trait carried by most in his family.
Dante can normally be seen wearing a simple shirt and long pants, but during the winter, he can be seen wearing his signature black jacket. His hands are rough and callused after years of training for the Hunger Games and working to help his family. A large scar runs the length of his left arm. Even though Dante does not put in extra effort to hide the jagged, pink scar, he becomes very closed off and guarded when anyone points it out. Since he is a Career, Dante has a sturdy build with some muscles, but he is not biggest Career. A final trait of Dante is that his left arm is weaker than his right, despite the amount of work he has done to improve this.

Dante loves to go swimming in the ocean. He also enjoys being with his friends and family. Finally, Dante loves to take risks.
Dislikes:
While Dante loves swimming, he hates the rain and cold. He also hates school work. The final thing Dante hates is seeing others upset or hurting.
Strengths:
Dante's strengths are his kind nature, his ability to swim, and his spear throwing ability.
Weaknesses:
While he has many strengths and likable qualities, Dante also has weaknesses. Some of these weaknesses include his rebellious side, short temper, and competitive streak.
Secrets:
Dante tries to seem like the perfect Career on the outside, but on the inside he feels very differently. He secretly hates the Hunger Games and despises being a Career, but he knows that it is he only chance at surviving the Games if he were to be reaped. Also, Dante knows that if he was not a Career, he would appear strange to the other residence of District Four and possibly become an outcast.
Desires:
The one thing that Dante dreams about more than anything is the adventure and risks that lay beyond the Districts' borders. He wants to runaway from his home and away from all the Districts into the wilderness. The one thing stoping Dante from following this desire is his responsibility to his family.
Overall:
Dante is a fairly outgoing person. He will talk to almost anyone and is not afraid to be himself. With the exception of a few things he must keep hidden or risk himself and even his family, Dante is very open. He trains often as a Career and because of this he has gained several skills. He has improved his ability to swim since he became a Career and also excels in spear/trident throwing. Dante's weaker points in Career training are archery and fire building. He loves to be outdoors and often goes down to the beach to hang out with friends or simply to enjoy the sand and ocean.
Dante's worst days are those when it is fairly cold and raining. He feels vulnerable when soaked in rain and shivering from the cold and being vulnerable is one of the worst feelings for a Career. He also hates seeing other upset or hurting. Dante always makes it his duty to cheer up anyone who appears to be unhappy. With a contagious smile and strange sense of humor, Dante often makes people smile. He is a little over protective when it comes to his sister, Lorikeet, but Dante is also very protective and loyal to his friends. He is not a fan of unnecessary violence, a strange trait in a Career, but he will defend his friends and family no matter what.
Dante can be very competitive, especially when training. He does not mean any harm to the person he is competing with, he simply loves the thought of a challenge. Dante also has a very rebellious side that is only tamed by his responsibility to his family. He often wanders the edges of his district, day dreaming about what it is like beyond his District. He has heard stories of District 13 and often wonders if it really exists or if it is just a story. While many of Dante' friends bask in the attention they receive from girls, he tries to be more of a gentleman. After living with just his mother and sister for so long, he has learned that he had better treat girls with respect or risk his sister and mother's fury. [/SIZE][/ul]

Dante was the first child to Rosalie and Maximus Farrow. He now, however, only lives with his mother.
Other Family:
The only other close family Dante has is his younger sister, Lorikeet who is thirteen years old.
Overall:
Dante was born to Rosalie and Maximus Farrow. His father was a fisherman and his mother made pottery that she sold in her own small shop near the family's house. When Dante was five, his parents had a second child, Lorikeet. Although he was still young, Dante immediately became protective of his baby sister. Dante and Lorikeet grew very close early on. When Dante was not at school, he would help his father with fishing so that one day he could also be a fisherman. To Dante, his father was amazing and the perfect role model for him.
Dante began training as a Career when he was ten years old. He immediately became friends with many of the other new Careers. When Dante was only fifteen, his grandfather on his father's side of the family died. Dante's father and grandfather had been very close and the death crushed Maximus. Night after night, Maximus would come home to his family drunk and in a terrible mood. Before long, he was an alcoholic and a violent one at that. He began to verbally abuse Dante, his mother, and Lorikeet. All too soon, however, the verbal abuse grew into something more.
Maximus began to hit Rosalie and Dante when he would return home. Dante took the blows without much protest because he never thought he could ever be strong enough to stand up to his former role model. One night, on the eve of his grandfather's death, Dante awoke to the sound of ten year old Lorikeet screaming. Rushing down stairs, he found his father home later than usual, drunk, and beating the small girl. Without hesitation, Dante attacked his father and attempted to pull him off of Lorikeet. Maximus eventually directed his anger away from Lorikeet and onto Dante. Dante does not remember much else from that night, but his mother told him that Maximus threw him against the wall that held many of his fishing tools. One of the hooks badly injured Dante's arm and the doctors were worried it would have to be amputated.
While Dante and Maximus fought, Rosalie managed to get help from peacekeepers. The family has not seen Maximus since that night and he was most likely taken to the Capitol to be come an Avox. Doctors were able to save Dante's arm, but a jagged scar still marks the event. Also, because of the injury, Dante's left arm is much weaker than his right and if he strains it too much it blazes with pain. While Dante wishes he could explore the world beyond his District's borders, he knows that he must stay home and help his mother and sister.
