Age: 16
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 4
Appearance:
Alice has light skin and light blue eyes. She is around a normal weight, and most of the other girls are taller than her, but she’s not short. Her hair is red, and she keeps it around her mid-back. It is usually in a loose bun that falls out all the time. Alice’s nose is narrow and low, and when she smiles, she doesn’t open her mouth.Personality:
Alice is swarmed with freckles, and very self-conscious about them to. She has strong bones and a good amount of muscle from her years in district 4. She has a scar on her arm, but it’s light and hardly seeable. She has a high arched foot that is always causing her problems, and it’s hard to find good shoes. Alice has her mother’s ears, and regrets every moment of them, they are small, like her nose.
Alice is a talkative, bubbly, sweet teenager who keeps her fears and secrets to herself. She loves playing on the beach with her friends, especially her best friend, Sophie. She is a kind heart, who helps when younger workers need it, and sometimes juggles two shifts. She gets into all the games she can when not working or in school, and it’s hard to find someone who doesn’t like her. Alice usually acts as though the entire world is in her favor, even though a few months ago, it was not.History:
Alice is stuck in her past. After being completely separated from her family, it took weeks for her to become the sweet, talkative girl she is now. Whenever someone dares to venture into the deep secrets that lie in her heart, she pushes them away, getting angry. She is an unknowing hot-head sometimes, telling herself she’s just protecting her family by not saying anything, and lashes out. People still like her though, and after a while they learned what not to say. She isn’t shy, she’ll make friends in a snap of your fingers, but she’s ferociously paranoid, and does a good job of hiding, to.
Alice loves cats, and fishing most of all. She likes to play with her friends by the sea, in the sea, and on boats. She liked to sing to her little sister, Abbigail, until they were taken away. Sometimes, she sings to herself, bringing memories of family, and past friends. Then remembers her new friends, and becomes more cheery. Alice hates, more than anything, pictures. Pictures tell her of past loves, family, and history. She dislikes history. Her history is nothing but 2 years of fear. Before that, it was struggle.
Alice was the first child to Sarah and Morris Marien. Soon after her, came her look-a-like sisters Mouna and Marissa. Then, lastly, little Abbigail. After Abbigail’s birth they began to become busied with work, school, and taking care of her, and 6 years later, they made a dash for the door. Alice snatched up all the fish they had left in the pantry, and Mouna and Marissa took more useful things. Her dad picked up Abbigail, and they ran.Codeword: oDair
After a long few months, Abbigail was a week from turning 7. They had reached district 11. The first thing to come to mind was “Hurray!” and they ran under the fence. They went to the justice building, and stood by while her dad got past a peacekeeper. Her dad ran, and the peacekeeper got up and hit her mother. There was a lot of struggle, and eventually her sisters, her mother, and her father were all tied up, but she was hiding. They pulled them to a room inside the justice building and that was the last time she saw them. She hopped on a train and waited for district 4. When she got back, no one seemed to remember her so she restarted her life.
Alice was tired of the trip and decided to never venture away from district 4 again, but she still wonders what happened. She heard somewhere that one of her sisters had become an avox, and her mother was in prison. The worst news was that her dad had been executed. She now lives in her little house again, and acts cheerful for her friends, hoping no one will ever learn where she was.
